Variety Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- Chicken thigh pieces 5
- Chilli powder 2 tbsp
- Sweet Paprika powder 1 tsp
- Salt
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
- Dried fenugreek leaves(kasturi methi)
- Olive oil /coconut oil 5tbsp
- Lime juice (half lemon)
- Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder 1tsp
- Crushed ginger garlic 1tbsp
Instructions:
1 Prepare the Marinade:
In a large bowl, combine the chili powder, sweet paprika powder, salt, turmeric powder, dried fenugreek leaves, garam masala powder, pepper powder, crushed ginger-garlic, lime juice, and 3 tbsp of the oil.
Mix well to form a paste.
2. Marinate the Chicken:
Add the chicken thigh pieces to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the marinade.
Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
3. Cook the Chicken:
Heat the remaining 2 tbsp of oil in a large pan or skillet over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the marinated chicken pieces.
Cook the chicken on medium-high heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned and cooked through. You can cover the pan with a lid to ensure the chicken cooks evenly.
Occasionally, baste the chicken with the oil and juices from the pan to keep it moist and flavorful.
4.Final Touch:
Once the chicken is cooked, sprinkle a little extra dried fenugreek leaves on top for added aroma and flavor.
Squeeze a bit more lime juice over the chicken if desired for extra tanginess.
5. Serve:
Transfer the chicken roast to a serving platter.
Garnish with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley if desired.
Serve hot with rice, naan, or a fresh salad on the side.
