How To Make Banana Chips  || Homemade Banana Chips 


Ingredients

  • Raw banana/ Plantain Nendra Kai     4
  • Salt and Turmeric Water
  • Oil for Frying(Coconut oil/Vegetable oil)
Method

  • Take a vessel and fill water in it .Add a little salt into the water and mix well and keep it aside. You can also add a little turmeric powder into it which helps to give bright yellow colour to chips
  • Before peeling off the skin of banana grease your palm with oil, which helps to  avoid stain of banana stick  into your palm.
  • Slit Banana and peel off the skin completely.
  • Transfer each banana into the salt water.
  • Drain off water completely
  • Take a half glass of water and  add a little salt and turmeric powder into it. Stir well and keep it aside.
  • Slice banana into hot oil and fry it.
  • Deep fry on medium flame 
  • Stir occassionaly to avoid sticking from each other.
  • When the sizzling sound of oil stops add a little salt water into it and stir well.
  • As the oil is too hot take care while adding salt water.
  • After adding salt water wait for 2minutes.
  • Fry until it becomes yellow colour.
  • Drain off chips from oil and transfer into kitchen tissues to remove excess oil.
  • Once chips become cool down store in an air tight container.
