അറേബ്യൻ സ്റ്റൈൽ വെണ്ടയ്ക്ക കറി | Okra Curry/Okra Stew
Ingredients
Bamia/Okra Recipe is a classic Arabic Recipe with baby/small okra and tomatoes. Its preparation is very quick and easy. It is usually served with Roti,Arabian rice etc.
Okra in Arabic is "bamia". It is also known as bemyeh, bamyeh or bamiya.
In this recipe i used small, fresh okra. Frozen okra is available in supermarket stores .If you get fresh okra it will be good for this recipe.However, if you are using fresh, do not use the large ones, as mature okra is woodier in nature and will be stringy.
Always opt to use baby okra or the small variety. To prepare the curry, simply cut off the stem ends and wash thoroughly.
- Baby/small okra 250 gm
- Olive oil 3tbsp
- Tomato 2
- Chopped Garlic 5(big size)
- Green chilli chopped 3-4
- Tomato Ketchup 3tbsp
- Red Chilli Sauce 2 tbsp
- Salt
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Chilli powder 3/4 tsp
- Water 2 glass
- For thickeness you can add conflour 2tsp(dilute with a little water).It is optional
