 Instant Pickle with Apple



Today i am here with one variety pickle made with green apple. I think eveyone loves pickle,making pickle is very easy and we can also  store pickle for many months. This recipe  does taste a lot like mango pickle .
Ingredients
1.Sesame oil  4 tbsp
2.Mustard seeds 1 tsp
3.Garlic sliced8(Big)
4.Birds eye chilli(Kanthari)- 10(You can use green chilli)
5.Curryleaves
6.Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
7.Kashmiri Chilli Powder 3tbsp
8.Fenugreek Powder 3/4 tsp
9. Asafoetida / Kayam 2tsp
10.Green Apple 2(Cut into small pieces)
11.Salt
12.Vinegar 3tbsp

Method

1.Wash and clean apple.
2.Wipe off water from outer side of the apple.
3.Here i am not peeling off the skin.Cut it into small pieces like mango pickle.
4.Add required amount of salt into apple pieces  and mix well.
5.Keep it aside for 3-4 hrs
6.After 4 hrs ,heat sesame oil/nallenna in a pan.You can  use coconut oil/olive oil instead of sesame oil.But for better taste use sesame oil.
7.Splutter mustard seeds.
8.Saute garlic,chilli and curryleaves.
9.You can also fry dry red chilli
10.When the garlic becomes light brown add masala powder 6,7,8,9 (see ingredient list)
11.Fry masala powders on low flame until the raw smell goes.
12.Add apple pieces and mix well
13.Finally add vinegar for extra sourness.
14.When the vinegar starts to boil switch off the flame.
   No need to cook apple pieces. If you over cook the apple pieces the actual taste of the pickle will go off.
