Beetroot Pachadi-Sadya Recipe
Ingredients
2.Green chilies – 2 small, finely chopped
3.Curry leaves – A few
4.Salt – To taste
5.Water – 1/4 cup or as required
6 Yoghurt – 3tbsp( slightly beaten)
To Grind
1 Grated coconut – 3/4 cup
2.Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
3.Mustard seeds – 1/4
4.Cooked beetroot(1/2tbsp)
To Season
1. Oil – 1 tbsp
2.Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
3.Dry red chilies – 1 – 2
4.Curry Leaves – A few
5.Small onion chopped (2 onion)
2.Grind Coconut with cumin seeds,mustard seeds and cooked beetroot.
4.Add slightly beaten yoghurt and mix well.
5.Add more salt if required.
Method
1. In a pan add grated beetroot,chopped green chilli,salt and water(1/4 cup).Cook and over until 3-4 minutes on low flame .Stir occassionally until beetroot is cooked and water is dried off.
2.Grind Coconut with cumin seeds,mustard seeds and cooked beetroot.
3.Add the ground coconut mixture to the cooked beetroot. Cook for a few minutes or until the raw taste of coconut is gone. Switch off the flame and set it aside until it cools down a bit.
4.Add slightly beaten yoghurt and mix well.
5.Add more salt if required.
6.Finally add seasoned onion mixture over the Pachadi and mix well.
