Ingredients:

1)Coconut 1(grated)

2)Small Onion(ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി ) 10(chopped)

3)Pepper (കുരുമുളക്‌ )  1tsp

4)Toor Dal(തുവരപരിപ്പ്)  1tsp

5)Garlic small(വെളുത്തുള്ളി7-8)

6)Dry red chilli 7(വറ്റൽമുളക്) 7-8(cut into small pieces)

7)Ginger(ഇഞ്ചി) A small sized  ginger chopped

8)Curry Leaves(കറിവേപ്പില)

9)Tamarind(പുളി ) (a small goosberry size)

10)Fenugreek seeds(ഉലുവ) 1/4 tsp

11)Greengram Dal(ചെറുപയർ പരിപ്പ്) Fry green gram dal & 

      crush lightly.

12) Asafoetida(കായം) a 1-2 small piece.

13)Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp

Method:

In a wide and deep pan, fry coconut and all the ingredients except green gram dal and coriander powder.Roast the coconut mixture and stir it frequently.Once it becomes light brown colour add  fried  and crushed green gram dal.Stir well.Roast the coconut mixture  till it becomes dark brown colour.Once it has reached the brown  colour add coriander powder 11/2 tsp.Roast well for 2-3 minutes on low flame.Remove the pan from fire//stove allow it to cool down.Transfer the mixture into Mixie and grind it  in pulse mode at one second interval.If you grind it continuously it might become oily.Stop pulsing once it reaches your desired texture.
